PUBLIC NOTICE Business Licence Amendment Bylaw No. 866, 2023

Bylaw No. 866, 2023 was considered and adopted by Council at its Regular Council meeting.

Council at its Regular Meeting dated August 14, 2023 gave first three readings to Business Licence Amendment Bylaw No. 886, 2023, a bylaw to require a licence for vehicle for hire service in the Village of Lumby. To view the bylaw click here.

In accordance with section 59 (2) of the Community Charter the Village of Lumby is giving notice to the public to provide input on Business Licence Amendment Bylaw 886, 2023.

Residents or businesses can provide input in person, or they can write a letter, email, call or fax. Business Licence Amendment Bylaw No. 886, 2023 is available on our website and available for viewing at the Village Municipal Office or you can contact the writer and request an electronic version be sent to you.

Responses received before Wednesday September 6, 2023 at 12:00 PM will be included in a Report to Council on the September 11, 2023 Regular Council Meeting agenda. At that meeting, Council will also provide an opportunity for persons who consider they are affected by the bylaw to make representations to Council.

The Village of Lumby Municipal Office is located at 1775 Glencaird Street.

Hours open to the public are Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The municipal office is closed daily from noon – 1:00 PM
