Lumby has a vast array of public and private organizations, clubs, and services available to its citizens that cover a broad range of activities and interests.

As a central gathering place, Lumby has many amenities available. Lumby provides many fitness and recreational opportunities for diverse range of groups; we proudly offer an ice arena, curling rink, tennis courts, outdoor swimming pool, ball and soccer fields, outdoor volleyball courts, and an excellent skateboard park. The community has an excellent museum operated by the Lumby & District Historical Society that offers a glimpse into the rich history of the area, showcasing Lumby’s early days.

Okanagan Regional Library

Village of Lumby library services are provided through the Okanagan Regional Library. The library is located at 2230 Shields Avenue, hours of operation may be obtained here.

A privately run arts organization, the Monashee Arts Council, promotes and showcases local artists and programs.

 Monashee Co-op

The Monashee Community Co-Op  ‘nourishing our local economy’ is located at 1965 Shuswap Avenue in Lumby (behind Ida’s Bakery and next to Valley First Insurance). We are your source for quality affordable natural and organic foods and goods while promoting local environmentally responsible agriculture. Our Co-op is committed to educating our community about the relationship between food and health. The Lumby Arts Cooperative provides opportunities and secure resources furthering the economic development of artists and artisans residing in the area surrounding Lumby from the Monashee foothills to the North Okanagan.

It also provides unique place to shop for local, original, hand made art and crafts.

Lumby Public Market

The Lumby Public Market is located at the Oval Park (entrance by the outdoor swimming pool) and showcases local growers, producers, crafters, foodies, artisans, performers, and home businesses from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The market starts from the 2nd week in May to the 2nd week in October. 

The Lumby Lions is a club composed of community volunteers in service to Lumby and the surrounding area for over 65 years.
