Do you have a street light out? 

Here are the steps you need to take to make sure this is taken care of as soon as possible.

  1. Determine if the light standard is a metal or wooden pole?
  2. If it is metal, call 250-547-2171 or email info@lumby.ca, and report the light out, giving the closest residential address to that pole.  This information is then entered into a BC Hydro online repair request program and submitted to the repair crew.
  3. If it is a wooden pole, please find the metal plate on the pole (at around the 6’ mark) and write all three lines of numbers from the plate down.  Phone 250-547-2171 or email to info@lumby.ca, giving the closest address to that pole.  This information is then entered into a BC Hydro online repair request program and submitted to the repair crew.
  4. If you choose to leave your name and phone number, we can follow up with you about 3-4 weeks after the request is submitted to find out if the repair has taken place.
