Please be advised that, as part of maintenance of the Village of Lumby Wastewater Treatment Facility, Lagoon #1 will be put offline, drained and cleaned. As a result, residents may detect an abnormally strong odour resulting of the maintenance. The work is to scheduled to last from April 2 – April 12, 2024. Continued operations of the wastewater system will not be affected. The Village of Lumby apologizes for any inconvenience that may arise.

Special Public Avalanche Warning for BC and Western Alberta Backcountry - EXTENDED until March 7 Mar 5, 2024. The Special Public Avalanche Warning issued last week and that was supposed to expire today, has been extended until Mar 7. Feb 29, 2024, Revelstoke BC: Avalanche Canada, in partnership with Parks Canada, Kananaskis Country, and the Province of BC is issuing a Special Public Avalanche Warning for recreational backcountry users across most of BC’s and Alberta’s forecast regions.
