Effective immediately (June 22, 2026), the Village of Lumby enacts water restrictions under Bylaw 700, 2009 to reflect “Very Dry” conditions. These restrictions are as follows:
- Even number houses may water Wednesday and Saturday in cooler times of day
- Odd number houses may water Tuesday and Friday in cooler times of day
- No filling of pools or hot tubs
- No water use for vehicles, sidewalk or driveway cleaning
- All municipal sprinkling will be turned off
Given the drought and heat conditions anticipated in the coming months, please use water conservatively to avoid additional restrictions and preserve our water source.
