Utility Bills Due November 7th!

A reminder to all residents that 2025 Q3 Utility bills will not be mailed out due to the Canada Post strike. An additional week was added before late penalties are charged in an effort to accommodate residents with this issue. Utility bills can be paid in person at the Village office, online through our website or online/in-person at your chosen bank.

Category 1 Campfires permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre KAMLOOPS – Effective at 12:00 noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Sept. 29, Category 1 campfires will be permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre. Category 2 and Category 3 open fires remain prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre. Category 1 Campfire Prohibition planned for the Kamloops Fire Centre

Consistent with the Kamloops Fire Centre Prohibition, as of noon on August 28, Category 1 campfires will be prohibited in the Village of Lumby, along with open burning (all), fireworks, sky lanterns, binary exploding targets, burn barrels/burn cages, air curtain burners, chimineas, and tiki and similar kinds of torches. Sections 98 and 99 of the Community Charter require that an Annual Report be prepared, made available to the public and a specified meeting be held for Council to receive questions and comments prior to June 30 of each year. The Annual Report includes the 2024 Audited Financial Statements and Permissive Property Tax Exemptions for 2024.
