In alignment with other municipalities in the Regional District of the North Okanagn, the Village of Lumby Municipal Office will be closing at noon December 24, 2025 and reopening to the public at 9:00 am January 5, 2026.

A reminder to all residents that 2025 Q3 Utility bills will not be mailed out due to the Canada Post strike. An additional week was added before late penalties are charged in an effort to accommodate residents with this issue. Utility bills can be paid in person at the Village office, online through our website or online/in-person at your chosen bank.
Category 1 Campfires permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre KAMLOOPS – Effective at 12:00 noon Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) on Sept. 29, Category 1 campfires will be permitted throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre. Category 2 and Category 3 open fires remain prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre. As the campfire prohibition is being lifted, we ask the public to remain vigilant and follow all regulations when enjoying campfires. Consistent with the Kamloops Fire Centre Prohibition, as of noon on August 28, Category 1 campfires will be prohibited in the Village of Lumby, along with open burning (all), fireworks, sky lanterns, binary exploding targets, burn barrels/burn cages, air curtain burners, chimineas, and tiki and similar kinds of torches.
